organic cocoa butter:

The most important health benefits of cocoa butter include vast improvements to skin and hair care as well as boosted immunity. It also helps prevent signs of aging and reduce inflammation. One of the reasons that cocoa butter is so valuable is it’s high concentration of antioxidant compounds, including oleic acid, palmitic acid, and stearic acid. The antioxidants and beneficial organic molecules protect the skin from environmental, internal, and external forces that can cause irritation or damage to the skin. Research has also shown cocoa butter to greatly reduce the appearance of scars on the skin and help to boost overall skin health.

organic shea butter:

Shea butter is a skin superfood that comes from the seeds of the fruit of the Shea (Karite) tree and that is naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F. It offers UV protection (it is SPF ~6) and provides the skin with essential fatty acids and the nutrients necessary for collagen production. The fatty acids in this butter are known to penetrate skin and deliver nutrients and antioxidants deep into the skin, keeping it hydrated and healthy.

organic coconut oil:

Coconut oil is rich in lauric acid, which is known for being anti-viral, antibacterial and anti-fungal. Coconut oil is also being used by thyroid sufferers to increase body metabolism, and to lose weight. Virgin coconut oil is a powerful ingredient in natural soaps and other health products, as it is one of the healthiest, most nourishing things one can put on their skin.

organic sweet almond oil:

Sweet almond oil is rich in Vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps combat free radical damage to cells and DNA, supports the immune system and promotes healthy skin and hair. One tablespoon of almond oil provides 25% the DV of vitamin E. The high level of vitamin E in almond oil is said to do wonders for the skin. It hydrates and moisturizes, has been used as a treatment for itchy and dry skin, and helps relieve skin conditions like eczema.

organic calendula flowers:

Calendula has been known as the “mother of skin” for centuries and has been found to have strong anti-inflammatory properties via powerful flavonoids . These plant-based antioxidants protect cells from free radical damage and pro-inflammatory compounds like C-reactive protein and cytokines. Anti-inflammatory linoleic acid is also found in high concentrations in calendula. Its powerful anti-inflammatory properties make it a potent remedy for all kinds of inflammatory, issues like diaper rash and dermatitis. Calendula is muva (*snaps) when it comes to stimulating tissue and collagen production.
